(allenfrancis)

Kissaluvs diaper are good and do not make any adverse effects on the baby's skin. You have to put certain cream or powder only if there is any skin rash. Otherwise there is no use of it.

Re:Kissaluvs diaper lotion potion? (Jacks1st)

We found ordinary cornstarch was what we used to help reduce wetness in the cracks of babies legs, we didn't use baby powder (but only because we didn't have any on hand). We put it in a little dish, and used a dry baby wash cloth to 'dab' it on (not pat, because like AAVT said, you don't want a cloud of it in the air because you don't want baby to inhale it). Both of our midwives, and all the older ladies I know said that cornstarch was a good idea, and it did really help (espeically at first when they're all scrunched up) to keep the leg cracks dry. But you can't put it on thick either, just a nice thin layer dabbed on. We didn't have trouble with washing related to the cornstarch.
Re:Kissaluvs diaper lotion potion? (Erika Froese)

Kissaluvs diaper lotion is probably fine as are most other products. If your baby is sensitive and you find you must use a barrier cream you really should protect the diaper- whether natural fibre or synthetic with a disposable paper liner. Also, when lotions and creams containing oils and fats are being used you should be using the hottest water setting for laundering. Hot water dissolves fats. As always use a good quality brand name detergent, nothing from the internet or boutique type diaper stores.

Everything aavt says is correct.
Re:Kissaluvs diaper lotion potion? (aavt)

Hi Mari! I don' t have experience with the Kissaluvs diaper lotion, but just wanted to comment that most babies don't actually need lotions/creams/powder regularly. Some babies are sensitive and might need more of a barrier, and there will be the occasional rash to be dealt with, but in general, think minimal unless you find that you need to add something.

When you do use products, the main nasty thing to avoid, from what I've heard, is products containing fish oils, as those can be hard to remove. I would assume, unless you start having problems, that it's okay to use baby powder, etc., although again, you probably don't need to, and you probably want to read up on your product, since I believe that baby powder/talc is no longer recommended, as it can be inhaled by baby and coat the cilia in the lungs. Mine are out of diapers, so I'm not up to date on the recommendations.
Kissaluvs diaper lotion potion?
