After such a beautiful weekend we thought we'd post the following question of the day (and answer):
Any suggestions for a day at the beach? We love our Wizard Duos, but I'm worried about using them at the beach and ruining them with sunscreen and sand. The swim diaper is great for when we're in the water, but I'm wondering how to also manage playing in the sand and napping in the shade? Both our Wizard Duo and swim diapers have been used extensively on the beach. Sun screen won’t affect them but the sand is somewhat abrasive just as a pool deck will be abrasive on all fabrics.
The swim diapers are wonderful for playing on the beach, in the sun or in the shade. When baby wets it soaks into the sand. When baby needs to sleep we lay him in the shade and put a towel underneath and one over top (to protect from the wind). When baby wets we wash the towels. It’s all fun and it's all washable. And a great day of diaper freedom.
The sand will stick to the wet swim diaper and baby (and sun screen). When it is time to go we wash the sand off in the water, towel baby dry, and dress them for the next adventure.
Very few things are more fun than watching our babies playing on the beach in their swim diapers and matching sun tops.
