I use cheer free and clear. I did research as well and this is supposed to be the only free and clear without natural soaps (which cause build-up). Only use 1/4 recommended amount.
If your daughter has a yeast infection, you want to be very careful about disinfecting the diapers. I would boil them for at least ten minutes and then rinse, rinse, rinse in washing machine. You might also add a little calgon (a water softener--NOT a fabric softener) to the rinse cycle if you have hard water and just to make certain all the Tide detergent is out. Tide can be highly allergenic (I still can't use it and I'm an adult).
Good luck!
Oh, and be very careful about washing hands really well. Yeast infection can easily move to the mouth (causing thrush). This can be passed back and forth between mother and child if breastfeeding and is VERY painful for both. I know (my newborn had thrush shortly after birth in her mouth, never in diaper area, but she passed it to me. OUCH!
