I use a backpack because I disliked having a diaper bag shift around on my arm while I was tring to carry the infant car seat and manage my two year old. I keep a small stash of extra diapers including a few disposables, extra wrap, etc. For wet or dirty dipes I usually just put them in a plastic shopping bag. I had a few two gallon ziplocs which worked nicely, reusable until they become smelly or dirty. I have been on the go all summer with my big girl and my almost five month old and it's been no big deal! Good luck.
