I'm so glad you responded to this because I've been wondering the same thing. I've been trying the dry pail for about two weeks but this last wash when I opened the pails at the end of the 2nd day there was some kind of a green growth it seemed. It didn't really look like mold but now I'm concerned about things growing in the pails. It makes sense that if they're sealed and in this heat with the diapers being wet and bacteria filled something might grow. Please comment and make a suggestion if you have one.
Also I tried using the washer as a wet pail. I like it except that maybe I just need to get used to not having the washer available at the drop of a hat. When you say you wash every 2-3 days (or even 4) would two days be Monday and Wednesday or Thursday? Meaning two days of not washing in between?
Also you've said elsewhere that your son is a heavy wetter. I believe mine is too but he's also a heavy sleeper and I don't like waking him up for a diaper change. Do you recommend adding liners? I'm using xsmall sandy's right now as he's only 4 weeks old.
