I use a stainless steel trash can that I got at Target, and you can get them on the web site too. They have a pedal to step on to open the lid so it is hands free. Plus it has a black plastic bucket liner that is waterproof so I just throw my diapers directly into that and rinse it out when I wash. But you could line it with another bag if you wanted. It is airtight, I use no deoderizing methods, and I never have smells. Hope that helps!
