I use Gerber disposable liners (EZ liner). My son poops all the time so I just put a liner in all diapers. If he doesn't poop, I just put the whole diaper in the pail (with liner). If he poops, I rinse the liner in the toilet and then put diaper and liner in the pail. I use a dry pail. Even though these liners are disposable they can be washed many times before they need to be thrown away.
I also live in the US and have only found these liners on line. I usually buy them at WeeBees or Jardine's diapers. Since they are actually reusable I buy 3 boxes at a time and they last forever (120 per box I think).
