Good point Lise. It's true that the cloth diapers don't *cause* yeast infections, that's a very important distinction that I didn't mention. Babies in disposables have them probably just as frequently. Disposables also won't cure, or even help alleviate, a yeast rash. Unlike many other types of diaper rashes, it has nothing to do with irratated skin due to contact with urine or feces. Diapers in general (cloth or disposable) are a great environment for yeast to thrive (moist and warm).

But cloth can harbor the yeast once the baby is infected and continually reinfect the baby (like with women's yeast infections and their underwear).
