Hot water and less soap...are very good suggestions...however also how many diapers are you washing at once?
I NEVER wash more than 15-20 at once..(just me)
and I do the following
Short cold wash small amount of detergent runs 30 mins
Loong hot wash NO detergent runs 56 minutes
Then I do one extra full cold rinse or rinse until I see no suds..one rinse runs 20 minutes.
I have NEVER had an issue with stains or smells..and if you are in Canada Kirkland brand laundry soap is divine. NO buildup issues!
