No, a dry pail for that length of time won't ruin anything. I wouldn't recomend going any longer than about 3 days just to make sure the diapers don't totally dry (even with a wet pail I wouldn't recomend any longer than 4 so it's not a huge difference).
I wouldn't recomend you put your covers in the pail with your diapers though (wet or dry). Sitting against urine soaked diapers (or in urine filled water) for 2-3 days could results in set in odors in PUL covers. I would recomend even washing them seperately because the hot water could damage the waterproofness.
