If you're using something with fish oil in it then I can almost guarantee that's the cause of the odor (especially since you described it as fishy smelling). I wouldn't worry about the water temperature at this point, I'm sure you've found the problem.
It should eventually fade away but to help it along I would definetly do a few strip washes. Try rewashing your diapers with really hot water (add boiling water to the washer) with a bit of detergent and some vinegar and baking soda (about 1/2 cup of each). Do that a few times and it should take care of the smell or at least most of it.
