Yes it will work even after they have been dried- I have heard that you are supposed to sun them when they are still wet though, but I know that previous stains still come out after having been dried. Additionally, you can try rubbing the stain with a lemon after it comes out of the wash and then put it in the sun. I haven't had any this stubborn yet though.
