Back when my son was tiny we had a horrible yeast problem, it was yeast/thrush. We did end up boiling the diapers. I know it is not recomended but it is what I did. After boiling the ME diapers once to kill the yeast, I did switch to CPF/ DSQs for a while so that I could bleach or boil with out worry about ruining my good diapers.
I really do not think ironing them will get the germs killed... And I really would not chance using real bleach.
