Like Avamom, I have a mix of both. Our daughter is 11 weeks, and both the one-size and small sandy's fit her great. I find the sandy's to be a bit more absorbant, but do not allow as much room for liners. So for night time we always use a onesize with a liner, and there would be room for 2 liners if she needed it (so far she does not). She was 10 lb at birth, and I did not like the fit of the onesize at that time, so we mostly used the sandy's until she put on a few pounds. She now weighs almost 15, and we can use both styles interchangably. I use them for different outfits also- whichever fits under the clothes better, etc. but I have to say that I usually reach for the sandy's first unless they are all in the laundry. She is on the last snap setting though, and I am not sure if we will be able to buy any larges. At least I know that the onesize will be fine all the way until potty training, and I have enough of them if I can't order more sandy's. Our stash includes 13 onesize and 13 sandy's, and we have more than enough since we wash every other day at least.
Bottom line- I am glad I have some of both- and I don't know which I would give up if I had to choose. You can't go wrong with a mix. Try the sample set that ME offers- you get a diaper and liner and one cover. You can get the set with sandy's if you call in your order.
