I have been using the one sizes for 1 1/2 years now. I bought 24 of them and have not only my 2 1/2 year old in them, but have used them on my 6 mo old daughter since she was a newborn, and love them for both of them. I did have some small indisposables, so my DD is in them mostly during the day, but there's nothing to compare to ME with inserts for getting her through the night. Haven't tried the Sandies yet, but thought that being able to buy one diaper for the life of the child worked out economically better in our situation with 3 kids, wanting 4 and one income that's not exhorbitant. Try some of each for the first little while, and see which you prefer. I would recommend the Sandies covers though, but if your child is born with Chicken legs, the Rikkis sometimes will tighten down better to prevent leaks in the early stages.
