I regularly use Hydrox in my wash cycle - it is similar to bleach in its strength, but whereas bleach is an acid and will deterioriate the fabric, Hydrox is based on hydrogen peroxide and is a base and doesn't harm the diapers. It isn't cheap - $20 (Canadian) for 4 L (about a gallon I think) but I just give a splash (roughly 1/8 cup) in each cycle and spray on tough stains. I purchase mine from the local diaper service that started off my cloth diaper use.
