: I just bought some used Sandies, and they seem different than the ones I bought new this year. They have a Mother-ease tag rather than the whale logo, and they seem to be a bit smaller (through the rise mostly. The waist I think is about the same.)

: Has anyone had experience with old vs new Sandies? Is this my imagination that they seem smaller?

: Thanks,

Lise,
Sandy's diapers with a Mother-ease tag instead of the whale tag are at least 5 years old.

Well worn/used diapers become less dense with wear and tear. The elastics in the diapers pull a less dense fabric together more than a newer, denser diaper. This would account for a seemingly smaller diaper. Your diapers could be made with a woven 100% cotton inner absorbent liner and would have a different shrinkage rate than the outer stretchy cotton/poly. This too, could contribute to the appearance of a smaller diaper.

Any changes to the cut of our Sandy's would predate the used diapers you've bought.
