I've started using a cream called "SUDOCREM" (from Ireland, I believe), and it is really great. My little DD has never yet had a rash. In any event, I like to apply it now that she's just starting different solids and teething is approaching as a precaution against any forthcoming rashes.
This cream applies very easily (you use very little, and rub in until it disappears) It smells nice and doesn't seem to affect diapers (although I usually use ME Stay-Dry liners regardless)
I've even used it on some small eczema-like patches on DH's arm that appear in wintertime and it cleared them right up.
I live in Canada, but I've just recently found this cream in drugstores. (We've gotten trial size little tubs of it at baby shows) There's a website www.sudocrem.com to learn more about it.
