I agree about the landfill thing- most people have never even thought about where their trash goes after it leaves their front door. I have actually had an overwhelmingly positive response in my community ans have converted 2 friends to cloth already (with ME dipes of course!). I can understand your frustration though, because I have had to do a lot of explaining too. Another place to get some great support is the forum at diaperpin.com - they have boards on all areas of natural / frugal living, parenting, and diapering. The board there and this one at ME have been a tremendous help to me.
