I agree with Karen. Covers may seem expensive, but they are really one of the most important parts of a good cloth diapering system. If you have tried the ME covers, you are ahead of the game, since I think they are the best I have used and I have tried a few. I HATE leaks!!!
That being said, I also really like wool covers (I'm too cheap to spend all that money on them, so I make homemade ones.) You do have to have heavy enough wool though, and that can sometimes make for a bit of a bubble butt.
