Hi, Kat!
I am new to motherease and cloth diapering all together & this is the first time I've looked at the message board, so I'm sorry I can't give you advise one the diapering thing (I'm expecting my 3rd baby in a couple months). I do have an 8 year old son (whom I have homeschooled for 3 1/2 years and still going stong!) who has been diagnosed with "autistic tendancies". We really believe it is vaccine related - probably from the hepatitis one. He is also a heavy bed wetter & night sweater. We have to use disposable "Good Nights" which usually work well to contain everything, but are very expensive! He weighs almost 90 lbs, so there isn't a cloth option that I know of. We found out that he has very high levels of mercury in his system (characteristic to autistic children) & have started using a transdermal cream (perscribed by a doctor) called Authia, made by Westlake Labratories, which basically contains B vitamins & allithiamine(sp?). The combination draws out the mercury & his bedwetting and other quirky behavior have dramatically improved. I'm sure you know a whole lot more about autism & solutions & options than I, but I wanted to let know about this cream which has helped us so much. Let me know if you've heard of this cream & what you think. You have my word that I will pray for you on a regular basis!
Tke Care!
Laura
