Sandy's with Nikky covers?

I was planning on buying some Sandy's diapers but prefer covers that do not have nylon nor polyurethane laminate (PUL), which the ME covers have. I was thinking about Nikky covers, but have a feeling they are too "slimline" for Sandy's. Has anyone tried this combination?
