: Hello ladies,

: Happy New Year to all.

: I have been cding my son for all 10 months of his life and I have now come up with a problem. He had diarrhea (sp?) one day and I was changing his diaper every hour. I guess that wasn't enough because he now has this raw wound on his bum :-(

: I have tried everything and every cream that I have (polysporin, bacatracin, olive oil based diaper cream, "special" diaper cream from paris, etc.). I keep changing him so that it doesn't stay damp but it's been almost a week and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

: Thanks for your help,

: Trapped in my house because of a snow storm in VANCOUVER

I have had that happen with both my children, with my first the only thing that helped was vitamin E and lechitan capsules...break open (i use my teeth, its seems to be the easiest) the caps,a few of each at each frequent change, and squirt the liquid on the sore and put over it a thick barrier of choice so it does get rubbed off and the sore isnt rubbed...and better if you put it on and without the barrier and let him go without diape. as long as poss.whenever poss...
My friends son has this happen seemingly all the time(she doesnt use cloth) and the ONLY thing that helps is Tripple Paste.Have you tried that?
Most drug stores carry it,or can order it for you.
With my daughter nothing seemed to work...diligent cleansing of the wound and antibiotic ointment and fresh air AMAP.
Good Luck.
