Karen,
Thanks, this is very helpful!
Thanks for the Nikkys critique. I am getting a diaper service for the first month or two (both for ease/sanity -- this is my first -- and to avoid a big cost investment for newborn diapers), but didn't want to use their ProWraps cover (they have PUL), so was looking at Nikkys for that purpose initially. Basically, I was looking for something less expensive than the typical $20 for wool wraps and soakers that does not ahve vinyl or PUL (Nikky's wraps at $15)
For post-newborn covers, I just got an aristocrats small on Ebay, and am considering a lana merino sokaer. Planning to use those at night over Sandys.
For day (post-newborn period), I was thinking Imse Vimse Bumpy wool, glad to know that Biobottoms are another option. Recently I hear good things about SugarPeas, so I am now considering them instead.
So, now the issue is what wraps to use for newborn over the diaper service prefolds, although I just found out that according to the somagram, my baby is already 6 lbs at 33.5 weeks and statistically is likely to be 9.25 lbs +/- .5 lbs at 40 weeks!
Thanks for your wonderful feedback: If you have any advise for covers for newborn, I'd love to hear it!
