I have also had problems with nighttime leaks - my daughter is 2 and a half, and about 31 pounds. The doublers just couldn't seem to keep up (she's always been a super-soaker). I've had lots more luck with an X-Large Airflow cover, and one of:
A Toddle-Ease over a Large Sandy, or
A One-Size, on largest setting, over a Large Sandy
Of course, you could probably get away with a smaller cover, but that's what works for us.
