: : HI ladies: I have been CDing dd since birth, and just now at 1yr have started with nighttime leaks... she is a night time nurser, co-bedded... so this is a big problem! (its MY bed!!! lol)

: : I use ME lg sandy's with a liner, or OS with a liner
: : my liners are the stay dry absorbant type... No rash, no problems until now with the leaks (3 nights in a row!)

: : I have heard people say that at night they put two diapers on.... What cover do you use, etc. I tried this with my OS with a lg sandy over (my cover couldnt close!) not to mention dd's bubble butt :o) very cute!

: : Now my other Question:
: : I finished with the small sandy's around 6months of age and have them and small Air flows that I'd like to sell ... suggestions on how to sell would be great. I have never sold anything on e-bay or anywhere for that matter!!!

: : TIA Karie

: Hi Karie,

: I'd certainly consider all of KarenC's great ideas first before resorting to double diapering, but we have also had great success with what KathyO mentioned. We started doing it when my son was around 25 lbs. with a large airflow, but then around 30 lbs. we switched to the xl and it works great. My son has always had rather thick thighs, so I don't know if this makes a difference. Sometimes it just seems easier to put on two separete diapers than fiddling with a bunch of doublers...my boy is very squirmy when it comes to bedtime.

: Lately, though, he hasn't liked the bulk and the ammonia smell in the morning has been rather strong, so I decided to try a wool cover. I've been pleasantly surprised in that the ammonia smell is much less, the wool is very soft, the upkeep is minimal and I've been able to use the onesize with the staydry liner only...makes for a much trimmer diaper, even with the added bulk of the wool. I love the airflows but I do like the breathability of the wool too, especially for nite-time.

: Regarding selling your stuff...I also have never sold through ebay or the internet and was kind of leary of it, so I took a free ad out in my local paper first to see and I sold the diapers right away. Just a thought.

Hi!

I just wanted to clarify that we have tried double diapering only b/c I am uncomfortable at how wet my son is in the morning. It is not a leak issue for us: only that the diaper is so saturated. Also, he is continually waking at 3am and asks for a diaper change (he's 2.5yrs.), so we are trying everything to make him more comfortable and this has worked the best so far.
