I've read that boiling the diapers can cause the snaps to break. If it's detergent build up that you're trying to deal w' then I think it's repeated washes (w' out detergent) and rinses until there's no bubbles. For yeast issues I've read to use a hot iron. Again so that the snaps don't break by boiling.
