What kind of soap are you using? I was using a free-and-clear soap (All), and I was getting a similar problem. I switched to something a lot cheaper (Purex, but other cheap soaps will do) and the problem started to go away after A LOT of washing. The care sites I've seen recommend inexpensive soaps. Good luck!
