: My first advice is don't be so hard on yourself. If your stressed the child feels it and it makes it harder for everyone. Second in my experiance what works best is to not make a big deal out of accidents and to make a HUGE DEAL out of it when he goes on the toilet. Praise him, reward him, jump up and down and sing a song. Do your best to ignore the accident just get him to help clean up. Also take him to the potty every hour even if he dosn't need to go, just to make a habbit out of it, take a special toy or book in with you. This may take a few days but you will see a diffance. I hope this helps :-) Best of luck to you :-)

I totally agree with the above post. This is how I 'trained' my son and it really works well to just make it a fun thing for them to use the toilet. We had a whole library in our barthroom - no joke! Books worked wonders for us. I started his potty training at 18 mos and he was fully trained (except for pull ups at night which he still wears almost 2 years later) a few weeks before his first birthday. I found that when I started taking him every hour he was trained within a couple weeks. Good luck.
