I had two in diapers full time for about 7-8 months. My daughter was a month past her second birthday when her little brother was born and she didn't potty train till she was well past 2.5. My son is now just starting to train (does well at home naked but not while we're out) and his sister still wears a diaper at night.
I have to agree that it's not that big a deal. Do have more wipes on hand, you'll need lots of those. And having a changing area in your main living space isn't a bad idea (that way you don't have to drag the oldest away from anything to go somewhere else to change the baby) but that's about it.
It is a little more work, no doubt about it. But it's certainly not enough of a hassle that I would actually recomend putting off having another baby if it's something that's important to you.
