I have a Frigidaire front loader and have been using it for over a year now (been CD for almost 2 years). I put the dipes in and do a short cold wash on cold/cold. Then I add a tiny bit of detergent and do a hot/cold long wash. I've been doing lots of rinses the last few months as I was having a detergent buildup but basically make sure you can't see any more suds through the window. I also use vinegar where the fabric softener goes and put a few drops of tea tree oil in the detergent as well.

Air drying will naturally bleach the dipes (when done outdoors) and will be less harsh on the fabrics. You do not have to air dry if you don't want to....you won't get me out with this temperature (-30's) and in the summer when the temp is ideal, I had a hard time as I had to hang them up before dd woke and I had to go to work.

: I am wondering how to use a front loader with cloth diapers... any ideas or tips! Also, does air drying make much of a difference? Why would it matter?

: Thanks so much!
