Yup, as Wendy said, air drying is much less harsh on fabrics (check your lint trap to see how much!) and will extend the life of your diapers.
A lot of people aren't crazy about the feel of line-dried diapers (I'm one of them) but I've found that a good compromise is to dry them in the dryer for a while, take them out while they're still damp and hang them to dry (in the winter I use an indoor drying rack). It's not as ideal as complete line-drying but still better than nothing and saves $ on my electric bill!
