For prewashing like this I would say just a small sprinkling, maybe like a teaspoon or so. Just enough to help disolve the oil in the diapers.... Doesn't really matter if you use more though, just so long as you don't use so much that it builds up (no more than about 1/3 -1/2 the recomended amount and make sure to rinse enough that no suds are left in the final rinse). More than that can build-up and cause odors (detergent build-up reacts with urine to form some pretty nasty odors). This applies to all washes of course, not just pre-washes.
