Just wanted to add that when the baby gets older and fights you at diaper changes fitted dipes are really nice. With a prefold (not pinned) if dd squirmed too much the dipe would get all bunched up and you'd have to lift her up flaten out the diaper and start over again. Which doesn't make for a fast/efficient diaper change. Also when they are really mobile it is easier to stand them up and snap a fitted on.....even chase them around the house when necessary...lol.
Althougth I did like the prefolds for absorbancy and I found that they kept the wet spot in one place....where as if I didn't catch a diaper change fast enough with a fitted it tended to get all over wet.
