: Hi there,
: I was wondering how most people use ME diapers at night?
: I played around a bit with different liners and using an infant prefold, but what I found works best on my almost six month old is:
: A large Sandy's diaper, with a large Sandy's terrycloth liner, with two stay dry liners (no terry) on top of that (staggered to cover most of the diaper), and a small Sandy's stay dry terrycloth liner on top of that. I use a ML airflow as a cover, although if I forget to wash one a medium rikki or medium Bummis Super Whisper Wrap work as well. (I hope that made sense ? )
: In the morning the top of the front of the diaper is still dry (after up to 13 hours and up to 20 ounces of formula -- I tend not to change her at night because it makes it hard to get her back to sleep). And she doesn't leak, although I had wicking problems before I cut the tags off the Sandy's diapers (it kept working its way out the back of the cover).
Hi!
I think it would be great to get a long thread going on how others handle nite-time diapering...it wasn't a problem for us in the beginning but now my son is such a heavy wetter(he's 2.5 yrs.), I don't know what to do. I've tried about every combination possible of ME products, including double diapering(mind you, I went to double diapering only after trying 2 ME liners added, so i might try what you suggest). We have the occassional wicking problem, but mostly it's that he's so wet, he actually wakes in the nite and asks for a change. Is this common as kids get older? I think I maybe defecting to pocket diapers now, so he won't feel so wet.
I *think* it was TOmomma that mentioned she uses a prefold in with the Sandy's...so I just got some unbl. infant ones and have been trying that with the toddle-ease and wool cover or airflow cover. He's seems pretty comfortable in that, but still wakes in the nite...maybe it's just a habit now, I dunno know.
So I'd like to hear too, how others do the nite-time diapering thing...
