I think the best thing that we've done with keeping the bottom dry is to use a stay dry barrier. I have a few of the ME stay dry liners and would love to buy more (anyone have any to sell?)in the rest of the diapers I use a homemade fleece liner. You just cut it to size and lay it in the diaper. It works great and keeps the skin feeling dry. If your 2yo is asking for a change it's probably because he feels the wetness. This might help. Happy Day!
