I am using the infant pottying training method with my 10 week old son. I don't keep him naked or anything, so I use 8-10 dipes per day. I started at 3 wks, and he is getting all his poo and half his pee in the pitty. I also have 2 other kids under 3 (didn't use IPT with them) so I cant always jump for the baby. So I'm probably not totally in tune, but we still do pretty good.

The number of diapers is really up to you. I would have a dozen to start and if you need more, go from there. It depends how often you want to wash too. If you can wash every day, 12 will be plenty. I wash every other day and I have about 20 dipes.

I don't do IPT at night and I don't stop the car or anything. I'm very relaxed about the whole thing, if it is convient for both of us he gets to go to the potty. He's gotton really good at holding the poo and pretty much will only poo in the pot. He makes a huge fuss if I make him poo in his pants, so we usually get to the potty before that happens.
