: Hi all, I need your advise, my daughter is 2 weeks into eating solids and she is now having a very difficult time pooping. Help! Is it normal? Should I feed her specific things to help her out? SHe is eating Rice cereal, baby food : pears, apples, bananas and plums.
Just a reminder that bananas are a constipating fruit. I have read many books and they all advise not to introduce any new foods for at least 1 month, and when you to introduce foods it be one different food a week, not keep switchinig. Solid foods are very hard on a baby's system to digest and it sounds like you are over loading her system right now, try cutting back on the number of different foods you feed her. Also a big helper is always offer them vegetables first then fruit, as fruit are very sweet and they can become to have a sweet tooth and also vegetables help in digestion of other foods.
