I used prefolds with pins and an Airflow cover for my son and it worked great. Motherease covers are absolutely the best. When my son was about 18 months old he picked up a closed pin and put it in his mouth and nearly choked to death. The pin was halfway down his throat and my husband had to reach in his mouth to pull it out. After that, I switched to fitted diapers!!! So, I would definitely recommend Snappis over pins. Good luck!
