I have used nothing but ME One size since my son has been born. He is now 10 months old, and he learned to walk by himself at 8 1/2 months. My husband and I laugh that sometimes the way he walks it looks like he just got off a horse, but so does my nephew who just learned to walk too. They all look that way at first. So I don't think that they restrict movement at all and in fact, it gives a little more cushion for when they fall back when they are learning.
