If you are washing in 120F or 60C water or higher it should kill most bacteria and virus as long as the diapers are in the water for a long enough time. If in doubt, you can try Tea Tree Oil, or Grapefruit Seed Extract and add 5 drops to the rinse cycle. GSE & TTO are excellent in their anti fungal and germ killing properties, in fact some hospitals are using GSE to clean their floors, and all their laundry especially in areas where they have strep problems, etc. We just had the Adino stomach virus in our house last week with 2 in dipes, and I used the GSE to make sure it was out of their system.
