If you're willing to spend the money you can check out wahm made covers and aios. I really liked Heavenly Hineys print fleece covers and Luke's Drawers as well. The Luke's Drawers are usually only available in AIOs but the soaker part is seperate from the cover (it's snap-in) so you can just use the cover part. Lots of cute & bright prints available.
I also did use the Bummis covers with good results. I wouldn't use it for nighttime or even naps, because like you said they don't cover perfectly. But if the cover is big enough it covers pretty much everything except a very small part on the hips and that part never usually gets wet during the day anyway.
I would recomend sticking with Airflows at night though. You really can't beat them! Plus I've heard they're supposed to be coming out with more prints sooon!!
