Don't even try until he is 2 years old. Then put him on the potty chair for only 5 minutes each hour. No longer than 5 minutes or it will seem like punishment to him. Brag wildly when he goes, don't say anything if he doesn't. If you wait until he is 2, he will train in 2 weeks. Good luck.
