My daughter is 8 months and about 17 pounds and she is in the mediums (listed as 10-20 lbs) on the smallest setting both legs and waist. In fact, the small airflows (listed as 6-12 lbs)still fit her on the loosest setting. She started fitting into the mediums around 14 pounds as I recall (although they were a bit loose around the legs). At 10 pounds, there is NO way the mediums would have fit - she'd have been swimming in them. I also recall that when she was born (7 pounds 7 ounces), the small airflows were WAY too big and she didn't wear them until she was 9-10 pounds). My daughter is pretty average in size, somewhat on the chubby side, definitely NOT long and thin. It has been my experience that the Airflow covers run LARGE not small, so I thought I'd put in my two cents worth. Also, I am certain that we will skip the M/L size and go straight to either Large or XL (I have one of each and will order whichever she fits into after she outgrows the mediums, which I am certain will be well over 20 pounds as she still has a ton of growing room in them). BTW, my daughter wears both small Sandy's (still on the smallest setting) and Kissaluvs size 2 diapers (bulkier than ME) under her covers. Good luck!!!
