You might want to run it through more than two washings before use. If not you risk having some leakage problems as the natural cotton oils (that interfere with absorption by repelling liquid) may well still be in the fabric. It usually takes between 4 and 6 HOT water washings (with a very small amount of fairly strong detergent) before a new diaper is ready.
After that's done they're great though! Enjoy!
