I've definitely got some experience, here. If you think your son is ready for this, go for it--as long as you're not pushing too hard. My advice is to put your son on the potty only when you know he usually goes--like first thing in the morning and after naps. Those two times seem to work best in the beginning. My son likes it when we clap and say "yeah!" when he goes. The biggest thing is to not be in a rush or to make him feel bad if he doesn't go. We still clap and say "good job" even if he sits but does nothing. There's a good discussion board on early potty learning at the Mothering.com discussion boards. Look for "Elimination Communication" under the diapering section. I found a lot of help and support there. Good luck!

: Does anybody have an experience potty training a little boy that is under two? I can get my little boy to pee in the potty if he sits there for thirty minutes, but I don't know exactly how to get him to tell me when he needs to go. Any suggestions?
