We've only used the Sandies dipes: at the time money was not an issue. I really like them. So far we're only in the small diapers, in fact, our daughter is starting to slim out, so we were even able to loosen them a bit (she weighed over 11 lbs at birth)!
They are super absorbent, and not very bulky. (Compared to disposables you'd notice a real difference, though). She's never needed a disposable at night, which I've heard many cloth diapered babies need. During the day we use homemade fleece liners, and the thicker Sandies liner for nighttime use. I like the idea that because she won't be in the same diaper right up to toilet training that they'll have enough life in them for future babies!
I guess there are pros and cons to both diapers. I asked the same question months and months ago, and the general response was that if money wasn't an issue, the Sandies would probably be the best diaper. I bet the one size is great, though, if that's the route you decide to go!
Good luck!
