I think it totally is! Women used to wash them BY HAND so it is certainly easier than that! LOL. Just make sure you have ALOT of dipes. We're talking like 50-70 dipes if you only want to wash once a week because newborns go through ALOT of dipes. I found the best thing for large amounts of dipes (as a pail) was a HUGE paint bucket. You can get them at Wal Mart or Home Depot. They are only about 5.00 each. You would need about 2 of those. I would skip the wet pail. Too messy and when I was CDing for 2 years I found through trial and error that a wet pail is just totally an inconvenience and does nothing helpful. It made my dipes stink and was just such a mess. You don't want dipes sloshing around in the back of your car. Good luck. You can do it!
: Hi, I'm expecting my first baby in a couple months and REALLY want to use cloth diapers. However, I do not have a washer and therefore must use the laundromat. I'm wondering if I am realistic in hoping to cloth diaper and do all the washing at a laundromat? I'd love to hear if I'm being realistic, and if so, what techniques work best? Because I'm busy working on my Ph.D., I'd prefer to only go to the laundromat once a week. Thanks!!
