If all else fails., get some enzyme like "Bac-Out" (Health food store) or else Nature Brite by Shaklee and soak the covers with that. these enzyme products are not cheap but have many good uses, so if it comes to that, don't think it is a total waste of money.

I am not familiar with Amaze but I can tell you I have tried many detergents over my combined 7 years of cloth diaper use.... And I found that Tide works best, or liquid purex. **For me** I have tried so many things that either made my son get a rash or else left the diapers stinking! Costco brand gives him a rash, Dr Bronners and "Next to Godliness" are not strong enough...I know I have very hard water so this may affect my experience.

But as soon as I read you saying you put the covers in the diaper bucket- I said "aha!" that is the problem, most likely! I put all non popped on covers into the wash and wash with whites. Any pooped on covers get a serious rinsing and then get washed with the whites- on hot, with the tide or Purex, and a little scoop of Nature Brite. I also want to add in I had very bad experience with Oxy clean- I know, I know, a lot of you LOVE it... but after time I found my covered were getting all delaminate. Peeling. Since I have stopped using the Oxy clean this has not happened.
