: Hi Karen,
: Yes, I used to use my SP wool cover over my large Sandy's or Toddle-Ease. Worked great for us, never had a leak. I never had wicking with the SP but then we've never used nightshirts that end at the waist (only the kind that tie between the legs). Though we did use 2 piece pjs and they didn't cause wicking problems.
: I've also used the Aristocrat and had good results with that one as well, though it was more trouble to wash. The SP is fulled wool (I think that's the right term??) so you can wash it in the washer, you still have to be careful not to wash on hot or dry in the dryer but it was tough enough that I never had problems washing in the washer (at least none that I noticed though I suppose it's possible that it shrank a bit and I just didn't notice).
: I would recomend either but the SP is easier to deal with. The Aristocrat does have the advantage that the leg holes are made almost like little shorts (if you kwim??? kinda hard to explain) so that they completly cover even the bulkiest nighttime diaper. For a while we had to double diaper my son at night (a large Sandy's underneath a Toddle-Ease) cause he was such a heavy wetter and this was the only cover that managed to cover it completly. All other covers left gaps at the legs (because the diaper was soooo thick the cover only sat on top of it but didn't cover the thickness) that his onesie would creep up and wick during the night. I hadn't tried the SP yet at that point but I don't see why it would have been any different.
: But on a more normal sized diaper (we used a Sandy's with 2 thick hemp liners) the SP was great. Both the SP and the Aristocrat are very flexible in sizing, the SP because of it's long wings where the snaps are and the Aristocrat because of it's very stretchy elastic.
: Don't know if that helped in the decision at all, but I can honestly say that both were great covers and I never regretted buying either one of them. I got a nice part of my money back when I sold them, which I did only because we really didn't need it anymore.
: Karen.
Thanks so very much Karen, for all that info. Much appreciated! It really helps :)I'll probably go with the SP then, b/c I do like snaps and minimal care as possible. Thanks again.
